First I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who is praying for Emily. We know that they Lord has her in HIS hands. We are trusing in Him!
Here is the Emily story:
Friday morning I noticed that Emily felt a little warm. I decided to take her temperature. It was 101.5. I knew that our doctor's office says that any fever over 100.4 must be reported during the first 8 weeks of life. Since Emily is 7 weeks old I decided to call the "on call" doctor. I felt a little silly because she had nothing else to report expect a fever. Well the doctor called me back and told me to bring Emily in the office when they opened. So I quickly got dressed and ran Emily over to her doctor's office. At the doctor's office Emily's fever jumped up to 102.5. Her doctor looked her over and could not find a cause for the fever. She didn't have an ear infection, rash, cold..... Her doctor broke the news that I needed to take Emily to the Children's Hospital for a complete work up. The doctor called the hospital and they were waiting on us to get there. ( We had no wait! Praise God!) At the ER Emily got a chest x-ray, blood and urine drawn and a spinal tap. Most all of her test results came back normal. The only thing that was off was her spinal fluid. It has white blood cells. I think they said it was sign of infection. Anyway, because of her fever and lab work Emily was admitted to the hospital for treatment. She is on two different meds for the infection and something for her fever. ( she still has) Christian had the boys yesterday... I spent the night with Emily. He will be dropping the boys at his dad's house this morning and coming back to bring Emily and I clothes, blankets..... well just everything. Emily had a great night last night. She was the queen of the ball here with her pink bow. Don't worry... I will upload pictures of our hospital stay when I get home. We are waiting on her dotor to make rounds this morning. We have gotten no new info since the ER yesterday. So... all I know so far is that the lab is growing the spinal fluid culture for 48 hours, Emily is being treated as if he has something wrong, She still has a fever and we are just waiting and trusting the Lord!
Again, thank you for your prayers,
Rachel
PS. I am sorry in advance for any spelling errors. I was up all night. I am half awake & the computer here is 50 years old. I will fix them when I get home! :)

Hey. Said a prayer this morning for you. Thanks for the update. I know you have family here, but if you need someone to watch the boys tomorrow (Sunday) we are available. Desiree...
Hey - Grant told me there was something going on so I am so glad you updated. We have been praying. Sweet little Emily has a wonderful mommy who was wise enough to call the doctor as soon as she noticed the fever. She is in the best place for her and I know it will be fine. Update when you can. Love ya!
We have been praying for sweet Emily last night and this morning. We are also praying for you and Christian as I know you are feeling worried and worn out.
