My life has been CRAZY! Let me back track to recap all of you guys about what has happened and what followed with everything in our lives...... ( I will post later about going back to teaching. I promise April!).... Well as you were aware Carson was in the hospital for several days with pneumonia. We got there on Sunday night and that Tuesday his nurse told me to have Christian bring Emily and Caleb up to the hospital to visit us. She thought it would be good for Carson to see his brother and sister and good for them to see Carson and also their mommy. So needless to say I was more than happy to finally get to see my other two children. Caleb and Carson were like two long lost twins. They were so happy to see each other. They played as much as they could together. It was too cute. My good friend Kelley that I teach with came up to the hospital to visit Carson during the time that the kids were there too. She was holding Emily and noticed that her breathing sounded just like Carson's did. She also had the same terrible cough. We had the nurses listen to Emily and they heard the wheezing. I then called our doctor on call and she told me to take Emily downstairs to the ER. So while Carson was in his room hanging out with Christian and Caleb, Kelley, Emily and I went down to the ER. The wait was terrible. It was like old home week. We saw old teacher friends from years ago. Kind of strange to bump into them in a place like that. Anyway, Emily got a chest x-ray and her lungs were clear. She did have a fever and was given a breathing treatment for the wheezing. They told me that she had Broncialitis. She had to follow up at the doctor the following morning. My mom was so helpful and brought her to the doctor for us. Emily had gotten worse before she had gotten better. So mind you... Carson and I are still in the hosptial.... It was SO hard to have all this going on at once. What does a mother do here? Where does she go? Thank God for family and friends, and prayer! We pulled through it. On Wednesday afternoon Carson was released from the hospital. It was such a blessing. We were told that it would be Friday at the earliest. I was so excited to get out of there.
So you would think at this point the hospital visits would be over. NOPE. That very night.... Yes, the monday night that I went for the follow up appointments, Caleb slipped in the bath tub. I just could not believe what I saw. I watched the entire thing unfold. Caleb stood up. I told him to sit. He tried. Caleb stipped and his chin landed on Carson's hard head. Caleb's chin split open like a piece of chicken. I grabbed Caleb out of the tub. Unplugged the water. I applied pressure and finally took a look at the wound. I knew it was bad! I took Carson out of the tub and went to get Caleb ready for the hospital. Now mind you.... this is now my third child in a one week span in the ER! I was VERY upset! As I was getting Caleb ready Carson decided it would be a great time to decorate my living room with his poop! Yes, you read it right! This undiapered boy took the time to give me a whole lot to laugh at later. So Carson got bathed, the house got cleaned and Caleb and I were in the ER until 12:30am. Yes, boys and girls, everyone in Jacksonville decided that night would be a great night to go to the ER. We were number 8,000 of 8002. In the end Caleb got his wound glued back together. I was told that the scar will not be too bad. At this point I really don't care!
